The Motives formed in 1965 by five British servicemen in West Germany, near the Dutch borders. The band members were Tom Winter (lead guitar), Clint Talbot (vocals, rhythm guitar), Dave Field (organ), Barry Beaumont-Jones (bass) and John Redpath (drums).
